Qatar Airways has unveiled plans to increase
flights to Bangkok, Thailand.
The new service to Bangkok, which commences on
25 March, is part of the airline’s continued expansion in the
Kingdom and follows the launch of direct flights Chiang Mai late
last year. The airline is also preparing to launch direct flights
to the Thai city of Pattaya later this month.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Mr.
Akbar Al Baker, said,
“With our recent inauguration of direct
service to Chiang Mai, and our upcoming launch of direct flights
to Pattaya later this month, we are pleased to now make it easier
than ever for our passengers to visit the Land of Smiles. Thailand is one of our most popular destinations, for both
leisure and business travelers alike, and we will continue our
efforts to provide our passengers even more opportunity to
experience this captivating country.”
Qatar Airways currently
operates 14 times per week to Phuket, daily to Krabi and four
times per week to Chiang Mai. The additional service to Bangkok
will take the number of weekly flights to the Thai capital to 42.
The new flight, QR980, is scheduled to depart
from Doha (DOH) at 01:55 and arrive in Bangkok (BKK) at 12:55. The
return flight, QR981, will depart Bangkok at 20:35 and arrive in
Doha at 23:45.
