Rosewood has expanded its portfolio of luxury
hotels to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The Rosewood Phnom Penh is located in the
39-storey Vattanac Capital Tower in the
central cultural and business district along Preah Monivong
Boulevard.
At 188 meters high, atop the tallest building in the
Cambodian capital, the hotel boasts 360-degree views of the
city.
“With its rich history and dynamic future, ‘The Pearl of Asia’ is
an ideal place to expand the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts brand and
this debut represents an important milestone in our global
growth,” said Sonia Cheng, chief executive officer of Rosewood
Hotel Group. “With the ever-increasing desire for authentic travel
experiences amongst affluent explorers, Rosewood Phnom Penh satisfies this urge while also giving us the opportunity to raise
our flag in one of Asia’s most fascinating cities.”
Designed by Melbourne’s BAR Studio, with two
restaurants created by Tokyo-based Bond Design Studio, the hotel’s residential-style guestrooms are amongst the
largest in Phnom Penh, starting at the 50 sqm Executive Room to
the signature Norodom House which measures
225 square meters.
The 175 rooms, including 37
suites, feature large, round, window-facing tables that double as
dining or work spaces, inviting guests to soak in vistas of the
city skyline.
Gastronomes will be spoilt for
choice with four dining venues spanning Asian, Japanese and European cuisines.
Brasserie Louis situated on
the 35th floor instantly presents a
panoramic vista of the city skyline and Mekong River from
floor-to-ceiling, wrap-around windows, and features French classic
comfort foods and regional Cambodian favorites in a casual yet
elegant environment.
The Living Room is residential-like retreat
with a relaxed vibe and cozy corners - a refreshing spot for
breakfast, snacks during the day or cocktails and appetizers as
day turns to dusk and evening.
Iza is a Japanese izakaya-style
restaurant with robata-yaki and
irori charcoal grill open kitchen with counter seating as the main
feature.
The highlight of the dining journey is Sora, translated
as “sky” from Japanese, the highest bar in Phnom Penh. Sora is perched on a cantilevered terrace on
the 37th floor and offers unobstructed views of the Cambodian
capital.
The hotel’s Managing
Director is Daniel Grau.
