Ms. Chaivaree Chitrakorn has been appointed as
General Manager of the Mantra Samui Resort in Thailand.
A Thai-national, who has spent most of her
career with Cathay Pacific Airways in Hong Kong, relocated to her
homeland last year to join Louis T Collection and has assumed a
new position at Mantra Samui Resort as her second posting with the
hospitality management and building solutions company.
Chitrakorn, known to her team and friends as
Meow, joined Louis T Collection in June 2017 as hotel manager for
Hotel Bocage, a chic, six-room boutique hotel designed by the
acclaimed Thai architect, Duangrit Bunnag, in the Thai resort town
of Hua Hin.
“Becoming hotel manager at Hotel Bocage
involved switching to a different field but the experienced gained
in my previous profession was invaluable in my role,” said Chitrakorn. “Taking on the GM position at Mantra is an exciting
new challenge and one I’m well prepared for.”
Chitrakorn has a wealth of experience in managing teams and
inspiring high performance. She joined Louis T Collection from Cathay Pacific
where, as attendance management executive, she drove performance management and provided appropriate counselling and support for over 8,000 cabin crew members. She was
also an inflight services manager for two decades, managing cabin
crew, monitoring their performance and continuously enhancing
passenger satisfaction throughout the inflight experience.
“Khun Meow’s broad management experience and focus on
service excellence has been an exceptionally good fit for Louis T
Collection,” said Mikael Svensson, senior vice president of Louis
T Collection. “This wealth of experience has enabled her to bring
fresh input to the team and allowed her to adapt to new situations
quickly.”
