Grand Mercure Opens in Jinshazhou, China

AccorHotels has expanded its Grand Mercure brand to Jinshazhou island, China.

Located between Guangzhou and Foshan in Southern China’s Guangdong province, Grand Mercure Foshan Country Garden is located within a shopping and entertainment complex about 2 km from Guangzhou Metro Line 6 Xunfenggang Station and 35 km from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

“The opening of Grand Mercure Foshan Country Garden comes at a time where the government has announced the 13th Five Year Development Plan (2016-2020) for GuangFo City between Guangzhou and Foshan to transform the GuangFo area into a core region with world class urban agglomeration in the Pearl River Delta which highlights an important gateway to China to evolve into a crucial hub city,” said Jessica Bu, General Manager at Grand Mercure Foshan Country Garden. “Located in the heart of Jinshazhou, the hotel offers business and leisure travelers a place to call home either for a weekend or long term stay.”

The hotel features 219 guestrooms and suites, more than 700 square metres of event space, a lobby lounge and a restaurant, as well as an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre.

With its debut in Asia Pacific nearly 20 years ago, the Grand Mercure network today consists of more than 45 hotels. Flagship hotels include Grand Mercure Mysuru in India, Grand Mercure Belem Do Para in Brazil and Grand Mercure Rio de Janeiro Riocentro in Brazil.
