Sammy Carolus has been appointed as General
Manager of the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit.
Sammy has been part of the Hyatt
family for over 25 years, commencing his career in 1992 as a sales
associate at Bali Hyatt. He progressed through various sales and
marketing positions at Bali Hyatt, Grand Hyatt Bali, Hyatt Regency
Hua Hin & The Barai and Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok. In 2010, he
returned to Hyatt Regency Hua Hin & The Barai as General Manager
and in 2016, was selected as General Manager of Grand Hyatt
Taipei.
In 2015, Sammy received the coveted Jay A. Pritzker Award
for Leadership, which honours associates at top-performing Hyatt
hotels who have consistently demonstrated their ability as leaders
and mentors and are viewed as exemplary role models of Hyatt
values.

Scheduled to open
in the third quarter of 2018, the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit
will be the first Hyatt Regency hotel in Bangkok, joining sister
establishments Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Park Hyatt Bangkok and
Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit.
Created by the Bangkok-based architectural firm
OBA, the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit will have 273 rooms
including 21
suites and a Presidential Suite.
TheThe hotel will feature Sky Garden, a
multi-purpose restaurant designed by Japanese-based Super Potato,
a Thai all-day restaurant, a lobby lounge bar, a Regency Club Lounge,
swimming pool, fitness centre and over 1,300 square metres of
meeting space, including a ballroom.
The Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit will
have direct sky-bridge access to Nana BTS Skytrain station making
it very easy for guests to travel around the city.

ideal choice to manage the first Hyatt Regency branded Hotel in
