Metrojet, a Hong Kong-based business aircraft
services provider, has appointed Mr.
Michael Chen as General Manager of its Shanghai Joint Venture.
Michael will work closely with Metrojet’s Aircraft Management and Charter team to lead and manage
the setup of the company’s Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) in China, obtaining the regulatory
approvals of CCAR Part 91 and 135, as well as developing the
business strategy and opportunities to support the long term
growth of Metrojet in this region.

said Michael Chen, General Manager of Metrojet’s Shanghai
Joint Venture. “With the dedicated support from the team, I will
put my full efforts in achieving CCAR Part 91 and 135, so that
Metrojet can manage and charter China registered aircraft in the
near future.”
Michael started his career in Beijing
with AMECO, a joint venture company between Air China and
Lufthansa, having spent nine years in various production planning
and engineering management roles. He was the Programme
Manager of the US-China Aviation Cooperation Programme of the
American Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, a Director of Government
Affairs and Business Development with Honeywell China and served
as the Director of Business Development and Government Affairs of
GE Aviation Greater China.
