Accor has expanded its portfolio of Sofitel
hotels with the opening of the Sofitel Guiyang Hunter in China’s
Southwest Guizhou Province.
Sofitel Guiyang Hunter, the tallest hotel in the city at 298 metres,
is surrounded by residential buildings,
offices and an entertainment hub. The hotel is directly linked to
Hunter City Shopping Mall and is within walking distance to
renowned scenic spots including Nanming River, Jiaxiu Pavilion and
the historic Wenchang Pavilion.
“Sofitel Guiyang Hunter is the first French
luxury hotel in Guizhou Province,” said Michel Molliet, Chief
Operating Officer, AccorHotels Greater China. “Renowned for its
scenic mountain views and beautiful lakes, Guiyang has much to
offer as an introduction to the region’s history, culture and
natural splendor. With the opening of Sofitel Guiyang Hunter, in
addition to Pullman Guiyang and Novotel Guiyang, we have a solid
presence of three operating properties in the city across prime
locations.”
Designed by HBA (Hirsch Bedner Associates), the
hotel features 274 rooms and suites that
boast the signature bedding concept by Sofitel MyBed, Lanvin
bathroom amenities and wi-fi.
Home to two dining outlets and a bar, the
hotel’s signature all-day dining Kwee Zeen located on the 57th
floor, serves a wide range of international and local cuisine
while Le Chinois Chinese Restaurant serves authentic Sichuan
cuisine with signature dishes from Guizhou and Guangdong. Located on the
55th floor with views of the city skyline, Le Bar
Lobby Lounge has a wide ranging wine list, specialty cocktails and
light snacks.
The Sofitel Guiyang Hunter offers two ballrooms and 11
meeting rooms featuring floor to ceiling natural daylight that can
accommodate up to 1,000 guests.
The hotel also has a spa, gym and 25-metre
