Minor Hotels Group has appointed
Alejandro Bernabé as Vice President of Operations
- Avani Hotels
& Resorts.
Based in Bangkok, Bernabé
is responsible for the operational and financial performance of
Avani Hotels & Resorts and will spearhead new developments and
brand initiatives.
Bernabé, who joined Avani as Group
Director in January of this year, reports directly to Robert Kunkler, Chief Operating Officer of Minor Hotels
Group.
Based in Bangkok, Bernabé
is responsible for the operational and financial performance of
Avani Hotels & Resorts and will spearhead new developments and
brand initiatives.
“We are expanding our
current portfolio of 18 properties in 12 countries with more than
20 hotels in the pipeline in South East Asia, New Zealand, UAE,
Australia, Maldives and Africa,” said Robert Kunkler, Chief
Operating Officer of Minor Hotels. “To support this growth, it is
essential that we provide excellent operational leadership and
support to our owners, hotels and partners. Alejandro is the ideal
candidate to lead the brand together with our dynamic operations,
sales and marketing teams.”
A 20-year veteran of the industry,
Bernabé started his hotel career in F&B in Switzerland and has
worked across multiple disciplines and brands, including variious GM
appointments.
He has several Bachelor degrees obtained in Spain
and the USA, a Hotel Management degree from the Hotel Institute Montreux in Switzerland and a Master of Business Administration
from Reims Management School in France.
