Jet Airways has appointed Vinay Dube as Chief
Executive Officer.
An accomplished industry leader and an aviation
professional with close to three decades of global business
experience, Vinay has an established track record of leadership
and business expansion at large, complex, multi-national
organisations including varied roles at Delta Air Lines,
Sabre, and American Airlines in the USA, Europe and Asia.
In his last role as SVP-Asia Pacific for Delta
Air Lines, Vinay headed the region as Business Head with P&L
responsibility and was also a Board Observer at China Eastern.
During his tenure in Asia, Vinay successfully led the turnaround
of the airline in the Asia Pacific markets, restructured the
network, established strategic partnerships, worked extensively on
brand-building and successfully brought about a transformation in
the work culture of his teams. He has also held various
board-level positions throughout his career.
Vinay said, "I
am indeed happy to return to India after more than three decades
to join the country's premier international airline at an
extremely interesting and exciting time. I am privileged to have
been entrusted with this crucial role in a company that espouses
key Indian values of service and hospitality. I look forward to
meeting the organisation's objectives, with the support of the
entire management team and employees, in order to strengthen and
grow the airline and its illustrious legacy."
Vinay's appointment was approved by the Jet
Airways Board of Directors in May, but has only just receved all
the requisite government and regulatory approvals.
