Accor has expanded its portfolio of hotels in
Singapore with the opening of the 395-room Mercure Singapore Bugis.
The hotel offers
guests unlimited mobile internet access on a handy smartphone;
panoramic views from its rooftop Sky Deck and infinity lap pool; meeting facilities with an outdoor terrace, western
restaurant with a local twist at Sauces by Chef Daniel and a
lobby lounge at BARtistry@One22.
The newly built hotel is
situated next to Bugis+ shopping centre, within a 5-minute walk to
Bugis MRT station.
“The new Mercure Singapore Bugis truly embodies
the multicultural soul and dynamic pulse of the Lion City,” said Mr Rhys Challenger, General Manager. “From the specially
commissioned heritage artwork in our interiors to the vibrant
location of the Bugis area, we aim to create a locally-inspired
experience where guests stay connected.”
The
hotel’s collection of rooms, lofts and suites feature charming
scenes of old and new Singapore in a vivid colour palette, forming
a vibrant backdrop for every space. The commissioned artworks,
imagery and illustrations by Beatrice Martinet from Toine Bangkok
are an artistic mélange of the city’s rich cultural heritage and
its various ethnicities, lending a distinctly local character to the modern, yet homely vibe of its rooms, underscored by its
hardwood floors.
All rooms are equipped with a smartphone
by handy, providing guests with free unlimited mobile internet
access and international calls to 10 key destinations, namely
Australia, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, China, Malaysia,
Philippines, USA and the UK. The smartphone is also loaded with an
up-to-date city guide, which guests can access on-the-go in their
preferred language. The hotel offers complimentary access to
online publications via the PressReader app with access to over
5,000 online newspapers and magazines in more than 55 languages.
The Mercure Singapore Bugis is offering buffet
breakfast for Sin$5 per person with every room booked. The offer
is valid until 31 December 2016.
