At Passenger Terminal Expo (PTE) 2016, Rockwell
Collins will be showcasing its innovative new products for
airports, including biometrics, cloud-based technologies and
automated solutions aimed at creating an improved experience for
travelers.
“Increasingly, passengers - and therefore
airports - want a more streamlined travel experience,” said
Christopher Forrest, vice president of Global Airports for
Rockwell Collins. “At PTE, we’ll be demonstrating some significant
enhancements to our portfolio of airport products that reveal new
possibilities for our airport customers and travelers.”
In addition to highlighting product enhancements
at PTE, Rockwell Collins plans to announce a number of new airport
contracts, including several regional airports that are benefiting
from its scalable solutions.
Exhibit highlights will include:
Biometrics
- Rockwell Collins will be demonstrating how one-to-many biometric
matching using facial recognition enables paperless travel through
an airport. The company has published a white paper, “Assessment
of One-to-Many” matching in the airport departure process,
discussing the benefits of this solution.
Cloud-based
Solutions - Rockwell Collins will discuss how it’s updating
its cloud-based passenger processing platform to provide customers
with a scalable “pay as you go” solution that reduces
configuration and setup time as well as maintenance and support.
Airport
Operational Update - Demand for automation to achieve
operational efficiencies is great. Rockwell Collins will be
announcing a major upgrade to its airport operational solutions
that improve efficiency. Integration of this technology with other
systems such as ARINC VeriPax, can provide airports with
passenger reconciliation and tracking capabilities.
Passenger Terminal Expo will take place in
Cologne, Germany 15-17 March 2016.
