Ultra Hotel Tel Aviv First in Israel to Implement Assa Abloy Mobile Access

The Ultra Hotel Tel Aviv has become the first hotel in Israel to implement Assa Abloy Hospitality Mobile Access, streamlining the guest check in and check out experience.

Guests of the Ultra Hotel Tel Aviv can now use personal smart devices as guestroom access keys.

The solution is not only becoming more and more popular with hotel guests, but also cuts down on the use of plastic by eliminating the need to create traditional key cards, making it an environmentally friendly alternative.

"As a property that is renowned for providing our guests with a cutting-edge, design-centric environment, we are extremely proud to offer a solution that represents one of the newest advancements in mobile technology," said Tomer Poleg, General Manager at the Ultra Hotel Tel Aviv. "Guests tend to lose track of plastic keys far more often than their own mobile phones, so Assa Abloy Hospitality Mobile Access provides us with a leading technological solution to both simplify and enhance our guests' experience, while increasing our ability to offer the highest standard in access security."

Operating with secure Seos technology, Assa Abloy Hospitality Mobile Access works with a hotel's property-management system (PMS) to assign a guestroom and generate an encrypted digital key that is securely delivered to a guest's smartphone. The smartphone places the key in a secure digital key vault within the mobile app. When presented to the appropriate lock, the app then transmits the encrypted key over a secure-communication channel using the device's integrated Bluetooth. This protocol ensures that only authorized users are able to receive digital key information and gain access to the guestroom.
