Starwood Opens The St. Regis Langkawi

Starwood has opened a St. Regis hotel in Langkawi, UNESCO’s First World Geopark.

The St. Regis Langkawi, owned by Integrated Nautical Resort Sdn Bhd (INR), is a joint venture between Rajawali Group and the Government of Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance.

The opening of The St. Regis Langkawi marks the brand’s 37th address and the first ever St. Regis in Malaysia. Following the recent opening of The St. Regis Dubai, the brand is poised to continue its growth momentum this year with grand openings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; the Maldives; Changsha, China and Cairo, Egypt.

“The highly anticipated arrival of St. Regis into Malaysia marks another milestone for the luxury brand’s expansion in South East Asia,” highlighted Charlie Dang, Regional Vice President South East Asia, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. “With Langkawi rapidly emerging as a world-class destination, the opening of The St. Regis Langkawi will enhance the island’s efforts to become an internationally renowned luxury destination for affluent global travelers.”

Located in the Langkawi archipelago, the resort is a natural paradise, fringed by a pristine white sand beach overlooking the emerald green waters of a swimmable lagoon, which integrates seamlessly with the Andaman Sea. The hotel is located within a 30-minute drive from Langkawi International Airport.

The St. Regis Langkawi is an all-suite resort, offering 4 private overwater villas and 85 suites. Each suite is distinct in design, and all suites offer expansive, unobstructed views of the sea from spacious terraces.

The St. Regis Langkawi features six distinct restaurant and bar venues, 10,000 sqf of event space, an 8,600 sqf Iridium Spa, a salon, an infinity swimming pool, a natural-salt water lagoon, and an athletic club.
