Mr. Tarik Temucin has been appointed as General Manager of
The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai.
Originally from Turkey, Tarik has more
than 20 years hotel management experience.
His career with The Ritz-Carlton Group began 15
years ago at The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul. Since then he has risen
through the managerial ranks at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia
Singapore and The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya before being appointed to
his previous post as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing.
“Shanghai as a
metropolitan city in China always has held a special place in my
heart,” said Tarik. “I look forward to working together with the fine ladies and
gentlemen of the hotel to maintain the hotel’s position as one of
the Platinum Five Star Hotels in the world. By also providing
genuine care, personalized service we’ll continue to build strong
relationships and to create Ritz-Carlton guests for life.”
Tarik graduated from Istanbul
University with an economic degree, followed by a Master of
Business Administration from Maltepe University in Turkey.
He has been an active member of the Asia Pacific Food &
Beverage Advisory Board since 2013, representing Ritz-Carlton
hotels in Sanya, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou.
For leisure, he enjoys spending time with his
family, playing guitar and discovering cuisines and wines from all
over the world.
