Minor Hotels Group (MHG) is to rebrand the
Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa, which is owned by MHG, as the Avani
Pattaya Resort & Spa on 1 November 2016.
Minor Hotels ties to the Pattaya property
go back as far as 1978. Originally a Royal Garden resort, the
property was the groups very first hotel purchase.
Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels, said,
The property is currently undergoing a refurbishment of all its
guest rooms and when complete will make a superb addition to
Avanis growing portfolio of hotels and resorts.
All of
the resorts 298 guest rooms and suites have balconies or terraces
and are set amidst 14 acres of gardens overlooking Pattaya
beach. Five restaurant and bar venues feature a variety of
international and local Thai cuisine.
The resort focuses
on healthy lifestyle choices offering a swimming pool with
jacuzzi, an extensive health club, two floodlit tennis courts and
a spa.
Located in the centre of Pattaya and overlooking
the beach, the property is only minutes away from the citys
hotspots and shopping areas and only a 90-minute drive from
Bangkok International Airport.
Avani Pattaya will become
the fourth Avani property in Thailand, following Avani Riverside
Bangkok and Avani Khon Kaen which were both added to the brand
earlier this year and Avani Atrium Bangkok which joined the
portfolio in 2014.
