airberlin and Flybe expand network with new codeshare agreement.

Alongside existing airberlin codeshare routes to the UK, airberlin will now strengthen its market position in Great Britain by the new codeshare cooperation with Flybe.

The agreement includes 316 weekly flights, 15 new routes and five additional destinations across the UK and is airberlin’s 23rd codeshare partnership.

Neil Mills, Chief Strategy and Planning Officer airberlin, said, “Our new codeshare agreement with Flybe gives our passengers even more choice and expands our flight offer to the UK. Thanks to our partner Flybe, business and leisure travelers will benefit from a seamless travel experience and an connection to our long-haul routes at Dusseldorf and Berlin-Tegel.”

Travellers will be able to enjoy non-stop flights from the German airports of Dusseldorf, Berlin-Tegel, Hannover, Munich and Stuttgart to cities such as Birmingham, Cardiff, Doncaster, Manchester and Southampton. In addition new connections between Hannover – Milano-Malpensa in Italy and Lyons in France will be included in the codeshare portfolio.

Business and leisure travelers flying with Flybe will benefit from convenient connections at airberlin hubs in Dusseldorf and Berlin-Tegel to Scandinavia, Poland, France, Austria, Switzerland and airberlin´s long-haul routes to Abu Dhabi, San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles or New York.

Flybe passengers can look forward to increased choice of destinations both within Germany and Europe as well as further afield to the United States.

The new codeshare with airberlin is the tenth existing codeshare agreement for Flybe, covering all corners of the world.
