ATR welcomed the European Regions Airline
Association (ERA) Air Safety Group to its headquarters in Blagnac,
France last week.
ERA Air Safety Group brings together the
European regional airlines, manufacturers and safety professionals
to discuss and share the latest aviation safety developments,
regulation updates and concerns specific to Europe.
“Every region has its own opportunities to
continually improve flight safety. It is important to be close to
our clients to understand the local operational specificities, to
adapt to their needs and to support their flight safety
objectives,” said Christopher McGregor, Flight Safety Officer.
The event represented an opportunity to promote
Flight Safety enhancements such as Flight Data Monitoring (FDM),
and updates on the Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT)
policy.
“The work of the ERA Air Safety Group makes a
real contribution to aviation safety. The principal focus and
objective of the group is to improve the safety of our members
operations and to provide an environment for members to share and
discuss their own safety experiences as well as learn about
developments and trends in safety related issues,” said Chris
Mason, ERA Manager policy & technical.
