Bangkok Airways has launched flights to Danang,
Vietnam.
The Thai airline will operate four flights per
week from Bangkok every Monday, Wednesday Friday and Saturday,
with a 138-seater Airbus A319 aircraft.
"We
consider Danang as one of our strategic flying hubs in the South
East Asia region," said Mr. Puttipong
Prasarttong-Osoth, President of Bangkok Airways. "Having a link to
the central Vietnamese city of Danang will make it easier for our
passengers traveling aboard our codeshare partner airlines from
around the world to connect to Hoi An and Hue and the major
gateways Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh."
Danang is the third largest city and a major
port in Vietnam. The city is situated on the Eastern Sea and is
close to UNESCO World heritage sites including the old town of Hoi
An and the imperial capital of Hue.
