Asia Aviation (AAV) has reported its operational
returns administrating Thai AirAsia in 2015.
Total revenue in Q4/2015 was Baht 7,634 million
of which Baht 274.5 million is net profit.
The company's net profit for all of 2015
is Baht 1,078.5 million, the highest figure in the history of the
company. Thai AirAsia's Average Load Factor was 81% with 14.8
million passengers served, greatly exceeding targets.
AAV’s Q4/2015
operational returns included a total revenues of Baht 7,634.0
million and net profit of Baht 274.5 million. The average load
factor increased to a robust 82 percent, up 3 points year-on-year
while 4.02 million passengers were served - an increase of 17% on the same period in the previous year and 12%
higher than added capacity.
The company acquired one new aircraft at
the end of 2015, bringing its fleet to 45. Thai AirAsia added 5
routes from its latest flight hub of U-Tapao (Pattaya), with
direct flights to Singapore, Macau, Udon Thani, Chiang Mai and Hat
Yai. The airline also increased flight frequency on the
Bangkok (Don Mueang) - Phuket route.
“Opening the new flight
hub at U-Tapao during the latter portion of the year was a very
well received move to create more business opportunities. Apart
from affirming our effective capital management, the opening also
was to show that we are ready to lead against our competitors and
that we are always diligently seeking out new opportunities. Such
evolution has been a cornerstone of Thai AirAsia and has been what
has allowed us to continually grow and see strong returns,” said Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld,
CEO of AAV and executive of leading low fare airline Thai AirAsia.
Overall in 2015, AAV achieved its
highest operational returns since being founded with total revenues
of Baht 29,507.3 million, net profit of Baht 1,078.5 million;
an increase of 489% compared with the same period last year. The
average load lactor stood at 81%, up 1 point year-on-year
while 14.8 passengers were served—an increase of 22% from
the previous year.
For 2016, the airline plans
further route additions and will acquire 5 more aircraft to bring its fleet to 50.
Its target is to serve 16.9
million passengers.
