Colombian Chef in Singapore - Fernando Arevalo, Executive Chef at Artemis Grill
[HD video and podcast
below] Chef Fernando Arevalo, originally from Bogota,
Colombia, worked his culinary magic in New York and Hong Kong
before moving to Singapore where he is today the Executive Chef of
Artemis Grill on the 40th floor of Singapore's newest green
building - CapitaGreen.
In this interview, filmed on 20 October 2016, we
ask Chef Fernando about his cooking, what guests can expect when
they dine at Artemis and where he sources his food from, and what
challenges he faces finding the right food.
We discuss cooking in general, how Colombia, New
York and Hong Kong have influenced his cooking, and what he thinks
of molecular gastronomy.
We also discuss which top chefs have
influenced him and who he would most love to work with in the
future.
And, as Chef Fernando's mother has not yet
visited Singapore, we ask where he will take her and for what type
of local food when she does finally come to visit him. All that
and much, much more in the videos below.
Special thanks to
Criteo for helping to make
the below two video interviews possible.
