London Ranks as World’s No. 1 Destination; Siem
Reap, Hanoi and Ubud in Top 10
[HD videos below] TripAdvisor has announced the winners of its Travellers’ Choice
awards for destinations, recognising travellers’ favourite places around the world.
Award winners were determined using an algorithm
that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions in destinations
worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period, as well as traveller booking interest on TripAdvisor.
In Asia, Siem
Reap, Hanoi and Ubud in Bali feature as top destinations in the
world, coming in 5th, 8th and 10th respectively.
Indonesian Minister of Tourism, H.E. Mr. Arief Yahya
[pictured], said,
“It's really great to know how Ubud, once a hidden paradise in
Bali, has now become a top destination in itself. And this is
exactly the kind of experience this archipelago is all about. It
is more than just a place to visit, but a haven, a source of
peacefulness for everyone who keen to explore it further.”
TripAdvisor has also identified
top-rated hotels as well as popular tours, iconic attractions and
upcoming events to offer travellers a glimpse into the great
things they can discover when they visit these award-winning
