A recruitment drive to fill more than 15
positions at the new Holiday Inn Express St Albans, located within
London Colney Fields Shopping Park, will today (23 March) kick off with an open
day at Jobcentre Plus St Albans from
9am until 5pm.
The hotel, which represents a £10 million investment, will
feature 86 bedrooms, meeting facilities, a bar and
a restaurant.
One of the UK’s largest independent hotel management
companies, Redefine|BDL Hotels, which currently manages 63
properties across the UK, will operate the hotel and is
responsible for hiring the hotel team.
A mix of
full and part time positions will be on offer to local jobseekers
looking to forge a career in hospitality – from front of house and
housekeeping, to waiting and maintenance.
“We’re on the hunt for the best individuals St Albans has to offer
as we gear up to open an internationally-branded hotel, which we
hope will compete with the best venues in the area,” said Will
Glenn, the hotel’s General Manager. “We’re
looking for lots of people to fill a variety of positions, from
individuals with little or no experience looking to kick-start
their careers, to more experienced professionals with the drive to
help us build a hotel that guests and local residents alike will
love.”
The hotel is scheduled to officially open “late
spring”.
