Best Western has signed a management agreement
with Sajja Chairattivech, President of Thai Bedding Co. Ltd, for
Bangkok’s second Vib Hotel.
Located close to the Saphan Taksin
BTS skytrain station and Robinson Bangrak shopping mall, the new-build
Vib Sathorn Hotel will offer 180 rooms when it opens in Q1 2019. Construction is expected to get underway
in June 2016.
Vib guestrooms, measuring just 191 square feet
(about 17.7 sqm), will make efficient use of the limited space
available with a platform bed with storage below and desk
connected, Smart TV, and ceiling-mounted LED lighting.
The hotel lobby will feature
sleek concrete floors; interactive technology solutions such as a
scrolling message board along the lobby ceiling, USB access and
power ports throughout; and LED lighting that will change
throughout the day, creating different moods.
The public space of the hotel will allow for
staff to play multiple roles. For instance, the front desk agent
could easily check-in a guest as well as accommodate their request
at the bar or café.
