Airbus has completed the painting of Thai
Airways International’s first A350 XWB.
The aircraft is now set to
move to the next stages of production, including the installation
of engines and cabin furnishing, before starting ground and flight
tests.
The aircraft is scheduled for delivery to Thai Airways
mid-2016.
Firm orders for the A350 from
carriers in Asia Pacific already total 241,
representing over a third of total sales for the A350 XWB to date.
The A350 XWB features the latest aerodynamic
design, carbon fiber fuselage and wings, plus new fuel-efficient
Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines.
