Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has appointed Sarah Fernandez as
Director of Marketing Communications Asia and Mark Shrives as
Director of E-Commerce.
Sarah arrives from
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in Dubai following eight years in
the Middle East, while Mark has held senior digital positions with
hospitality brands including MBK Hotels and Tourism, Hansar and Lebua.
“We are delighted
to welcome Sarah and Mark to the team in Bangkok,” said Andrew
Langdon, Senior Vice President Asia, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. “These are two essential positions strategically to have in
place as we prepare for rapid growth in Asia as owners and
developers embrace the Mövenpick brand, our unique positioning in
the hospitality industry and the high standards to which we bring
to all of our hotels.”
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts currently
manages eight hotels and resorts in Asia. Most recently opened was
the Mövenpick Siam Hotel Pattaya on Na Jomtien Beach in February
this year, to increase the total number in Thailand to four
hotels.
Debuts in the Philippines and Indonesia will follow
this year when Mövenpick Resort Boracay and Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran in the south of Bali will open in the third and fourth
quarters of 2016 respectively.
“These are exciting times
for Mövenpick in Asia,” added Mr Landgon. “We are putting together
a strong team in our head office here. The market in Asia is
responding very well to our brand, our signature offerings and our
upscale positioning and we feel confident that we will grow over
the coming years.”
