Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) has confirmed
that it will host its National Conference at the International
Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) from 30 April to 2 May 2017.
Other new events set to take place at
Australia’s newest integrated convention, exhibition and
entertainment precinct include Associations Forum’s National
Conference (17-18 July 2017) and Australasian Society of
Association Executives (AuSAE) Conference and Exhibition (11-12
May 2017).
Following its annual conference in France,
International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC) has also
announced ICC Sydney as the destination for its July 2017
conference.
CEO of ICC Sydney, Geoff Donaghy, said he is
delighted with the local and international response to the
precinct, and is looking forward to welcoming some of the
industry’s top minds to a space that has been custom-designed to
help foster innovation.
“Interest in ICC Sydney is booming, with over
100 major conventions and exhibitions confirmed. We are building a
strong case for the venue as a world leader and clients are
responding to our integrated offering, cutting edge facilities and
flexible meeting spaces, along with the centre’s contemporary
design and unbeatable location,” said Donaghy. “Association events
are critical to the mix of a global city as they drive business
relationships, knowledge transfer, and industry investment. Their
active support means ICC Sydney, and the business events we host,
will play a fundamental role in supporting professional
development and fostering the local knowledge economy – both of
which are key to ensuring Sydney remains competitive and attracts
top talent.”
ICC Sydney will be capable of holding multiple
large conventions, shows and exhibitions simultaneously and boasts
a range of integrated facilities.
