Hong Kong Wing On Travel Service Renews Sabre Partnership

Hong Kong Wing On Travel Service Limited, one of Hong Kong’s leading travel agencies, has renewed a long-term technology and content agreement with Sabre.

The agreement commits a suite of Sabre solutions to support Wing On Travel’s online business expansion.

“As more travellers move online we are focused on further scaling up our website and mobile booking operations to complement our offline business. We need a technology partner that not only gives us breadth of travel content but enables us to better harness the vast virtual shopping opportunity across Asia Pacific, and globally. Sabre does all of this,” said Lanny Leung, Director and CEO of Hong Kong Wing On Travel Service Limited.

As part of the new agreement, Wing On Travel will deploy Sabre’s low-fare search technology, Bargain Finder Max, to meet traveller demands for faster fare pricing comparison and more diverse, lower-priced itineraries displayed in real time.

Roshan Mendis, senior vice president for Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific, said, “By understanding the drivers for today’s hyper-connected traveller – like speed, choice and mobility – we create a competitive advantage for our customers, through technology and solutions that reshape their business to better acquire, convert and optimise revenue ...  we also have the power of deeper business insights and intelligence at our fingertips, which we’re using to help our customers enhance their back-end operations and drive greater efficiencies.”

The full suite of travel solutions deployed by Wing On Travel includes: Sabre APIs, Bargain Finder Max, Optimization, New FareX, Ticket Express, Sabre Contract Manager and Sabre Red Workspace.
