Lion Air has selected Sabre
to deliver an
end-to-end airline operations and crew management platform that
will optimise daily operations and in turn help to reduce costs.
Sabre AirCentre’s airline operations, crew and disruption
management technologies and mobile capabilities are being deployed
simultaneously across Indonesia’s largest private carrier and its
entire group of subsidiary airlines – Batik Air, Wings Air, Malindo Air, and Thai Lion Air; supporting route network and fleet
growth in the region.
By 2034, Asia Pacific is expected to
make up over 40% of global passenger traffic, placing
increasing pressure on airport capacity levels and the airlines
operating in them.
Edward Sirait, CEO of Lion
Air Group, said, “As we undergo
rapid route and network growth at the Lion Air Group of airlines,
Sabre’s unique, end-to-end platform matches the breadth of our
needs. As part of this platform, we are also receiving the highest
standards of quality and sophistication in the individual
solutions. With this agreement, we are able to scale as well as
streamline our operations while creating efficiencies and cost
savings across all five airlines.”
The Sabre AirCentre Operations and Crew Platform
includes Sabre AirCentre Movement Manager, Sabre’s
aircraft tracking solution, and Sabre AirCentre Crew
Manager, the next-generation Sabre crew management platform. It
also includes advanced pairing and rostering solutions delivered
in conjunction with AD OPT, a leading provider of crew planning
solutions, that will simplify crew planning processes, improve
productivity, and enhance crew satisfaction.
Other notable solutions include Sabre AirCentre Recovery Manager, a
cutting-edge disruption management tool, and Sabre AirCentre
Crew Connection, a new web technology allowing trackers,
controllers and crew to take advantage of real-time communications
and integrated services.
“To address growing
complexities facing the airline operations environment, we’ve been
investing in new technologies and key strategic partnerships to
deliver an integrated suite of solutions that seamlessly controls
all operations from routine planning and execution to managing
unexpected disruptions,” said Kamal Qatato, vice president, Sabre
Airline Solutions. “Through one unified operations platform we
will help Lion Air deliver consistently on customer expectations
and on-time commitments, while creating greater efficiencies and
achieving lower operating costs.”
