Christian Wurm Joins Hyatt Regency Hua Hin and The Barai as General Manager

Mr. Christian Wurm has joined the 213-room Hyatt Regency Hua Hin and The Barai as General Manager.

A German national, Christian has many years of experience working in luxury hotels, including the Four Seasons Resort Maldives, Raffles Resort Canouan Island and the Burj Al Arab.

In 2008, he began his Hyatt career as Executive Assistant Manager of the Park Hyatt Sydney. He was appointed General Manager of the Park Hyatt Chennai in 2013.

“I feel very fortunate to be given the opportunity to work in this beautiful city and lead the warmhearted team at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin to continue the ongoing success of this leading and well-established resort in Hua Hin,” said Mr. Wurm. “With the great increase of tourists around the world visiting Hua Hin every year, I am confident that Hua Hin has a promising future and will continually grow internationally in wider markets.”

Christian commenced his career as a chef and worked for several restaurants, including Alt Luxemburg, Michelin one-star restaurant in Berlin.

A graduate in economics from the Hotel Management School in Berlin, Christian also has a certificate in Strategic Hotel Management from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA.

He is married to Priya and has two daughters.
