Magnus Olovson has been appointed as General
Manager of the luxurious Sanchaya resort on Bintan Island,
Indonesia.
Magnus joins the 9.6-hectare

Swedish-national Magnus rose up the rank as food and beverage director at
the Hotel Negresco in Nice,
France, and Sheraton Oran Hotel & Towers in Algeria, before
becoming general manager of the British Virgin Islands’ Peter
Island Resort.
He also managed the 2009 launch of Le Gray Hotel in Beirut.
“The
Sanchaya has it all, particularly outstanding staff trained by the
British Butler Institute who know the guests’ names by heart, and
remarkable facilities overlooking one of the world’s most stunning
beaches,” Magnus said. “We want to stay on top and continue to
lead by example, through a continual focus on our people, our
