The Whitsundays’ Daydream Island Resort and Spa
has shored up its management structure ahead of a substantial
refurbishment next year.
The island’s owner, China Capital Investment
Group (CCIG), has made the following appointments:
Scott Wilkinson
remains Chief Executive Officer with his focus being on CCIG’s
investment in Australia and possible future acquisitions.
Dawson Tang, previously Vice President, has
become General Manager of Daydream Island, overseeing the
operations, finance, human resources and sales and marketing
functions.
Warren McCorriston, previously Resort Manager of
Daydream Island, has returned as Operations Director and will
oversee the day-to-day management of the resort operation.
There are no changes to sales and marketing with
Jane
Hermann heading up the Brisbane office as Director of Sales and Marketing, supported by
Grace Lassig as Director of Sales.
“Our experienced senior leadership team is committed
to bringing the best tropical island holiday experience possible
and taking advantage of our location in the unique Great Barrier
Reef Marine Park,” Mr Wilkinson said. “Our owners
have already upgraded many aspects of the accommodation and
facilities and our guests are continuing to respond with great
feedback on their experience.”
