Sunway has confirmed that the 4.5-star Sunway
Pyramid Hotel (formerly known as Sunway Pyramid Hotel East) will
re-open on 3 November 2016.
The hotel will progressively open its
guestrooms and suites after having undergone a RM125 million
renovation exercise since it closed on 1 April 2016. Sunway
Pyramid Hotel targets to operate on its full inventory of 564
rooms by end January 2017.
Located in Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, the renovation increased the hotel’s
room inventory to 564 deluxe rooms and suites from the previous
549, incorporating 21 new family rooms and suites, designed to
accommodate a growing increase in family and leisure travelers to
the integrated destination.
The new family suites, ranging in size
between 53 - 60 sqm, will be amongst the
hotel’s largest rooms offering added extras like two bathrooms, a mini refrigerator, a
microwave and bedding options accommodating up to six persons.
Albert Cheong, CEO and Group General Manager of Sunway Hotels &
Resorts said, “With the full
room inventory available by end of January 2017, the cluster of
three hotels in Sunway City including the new Sunway Pyramid
Hotel, will offer guests a choice of over 1,400 guestrooms and
suites within a single integrated destination; thereby affording
guests with every conceivable choice and budget.”
Designed by Sunway Design Sdn. Bhd, each
guestroom and suite in Sunway Pyramid Hotel focused on technology
improvements with complimentary Wi-Fi and wired broadband internet
access, smart lighting, bedside USB charger outlets, 42” LED Smart
TV with satellite news, sports and movie channels, flexible
workspaces, high pressure walk-in shower, ample closet space and numerous other enhanced facilities and upgrades.
The hotel
transformation also included a complete make-over on the hotel’s main lobby, a new coffee lounge, lift landings, guest floor
corridors, guestrooms and the back of house spaces.
