Yvette Peverell Joins IHG as Director of Communications - Australasia & Japan

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has appointed Yvette Peverell as Director of Communications - Australasia & Japan.

Yvette has over 15 years’ of experience in public relations in the tourism sector, including a decade in the hotel industry. She previously worked for Accor Asia Pacific and most recently for Mantra Group, overseeing both internal and external communications.

Yvette will also be the conduit for media in the region to access information from the global IHG network.

Yvette joins COO Karin Sheppard’s leadership team as the region’s senior communications counsel and will be based at the Sydney office.

“We are so pleased to have someone of Yvette’s caliber on board in what is a strategic growth period across Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Our network is set to expand not only in hotel and room numbers but also with the introduction of a new brand to Australia with the launch of Holiday Inn Express. 2016 is truly set to be a landmark year for IHG,” said Karin.

IHG currently has a portfolio of 28 hotels in Australia, 7 in New Zealand and PNG, and 32 in Japan.
