The Datai Langkawi will host culinary legend,
Michel Roux OBE for an exclusive haute cuisine showcase between
18 and 20 February 2016, Michel’s first ever event in Malaysia.
For three nights, The Dining Room will be under
the expert and esteemed leadership of Chef Michel Roux and his
team, offering an unparalleled fine-dining experience of Michelin
star prestige.
“We are incredibly excited to invite Michel Roux
to The Datai Langkawi for his first culinary event in Malaysia,”
said Arnaud Girodon, General Manager of The Datai Langkawi.
“He is such an iconic chef and guests are in for a real sensory
treat, combining his world-class cuisine with our award-winning
service, style and setting. It’s going to be spectacular by all
accounts.”
Guests will be served pre-dinner
cocktails – Michel Roux Champagne and canapés – at the Main Pool,
before enjoying a five-course set menu in
The Dining Room.
To further elevate the experience, Pierre Bat,
Sommelier of the House of Veyret Latour (Bordeaux), will be
offering a wine flight, pairing the perfect bottle with each
course, to complement the flavours and enhance the gastronomic
experience.
For those eager to enjoy a more ‘hands
on’ approach and expand their culinary repertoire, Michel Roux
will also be hosting a masterclass. Guided by the Michelin chef,
participants will prepare two courses for lunch to follow and
receive a number of take-home mementos of the experience, such as
the recipes, a cookbook and certificate signed by Michel Roux.
