Starting 25 October 2015, Lufthansa will change
its Bangkok - Frankfurt flight schedule to night departures with
recently upgraded Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
With the new winter schedule, the flight will
depart from Bangkok at 23:50 to arrive in Frankfurt the following
day at 05:45.
Mr. Dirk Grossmann, General Manager of Passenger
Sales for Thailand and the Mekong Region, said, “Thailand is one of
our key markets in Southeast Asia and we are always looking for
opportunities to improve and provide more options for our
passengers as an airline group. For example, in the new timetable,
Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines operate night departures and Swiss
International Air Lines offers day flights out of Bangkok.
Overall, Lufthansa Group offers a variety of both day and night
flights every 12 hours to their European gateways. And this
combination fits perfectly for every customer needs.”
Lufthansa is servicing the route with upgraded Boeing 747-400
aircraft featuring the airline's new Business and Premium Economy
class. The move from an Airbus A340-300 to a Boeing 747-400,
enables Lufthansa to carry 30% more passengers.
Each of the new
Business class seats can be folded flat to create a bed 1.98 meters
long.
The Premium Economy cabin comes with seats
that have about 50% more space than Economy Class seats, allows
passengers to check-in two bags (each 23kg) and offers some
special greetings on board like a welcome drink, an
amenity kit, water bottle and a power socket to use in the seat.
For a fee of 25 euros, passengers with a Premium Economy ticket
can also access the Lufthansa Business lounge
prior to take-off.
