InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a
Crowne Plaza hotel in Novi Sad, Serbia’s second largest city.
The
new-build hotel will operate under a franchise agreement with
Plaza AGNS DOO Novi Sad.
The 144-room Crowne Plaza Novi Sad hotel,
scheduled to open in 2016, will be located in the heart of the
business district of Novi Sad, and only a short walk to the city centre for guests wanting to explore the city’s renowned 18th
century architecture, visit the fortress of Petrovaradin, the
plethora of beautiful churches or take a tour of the nearby
vineyards and gastronomy sites.
Guests will be able to enjoy the hotel's all-day
dining restaurant and unwind at the sky bar which promises
panoramic views of the city.
The Crowne Plaza Novi Sad will also
feature five meeting rooms and two boardrooms, a rooftop club lounge, spa and fitness centre.
A
spokesperson from Plaza AGNS DOO said, “We’re excited to be
embarking on our first hotel development with IHG and to be bringing the Crowne Plaza brand to one of Serbia’s most important
business hubs. The location and facilities of this new hotel will
make it a great choice for both business and leisure guests when
it opens in 2016.”
