Following the merger of TUI Travel PLC and TUI
AG, TUI Travel Accommodation & Destinations has announced that it
will be called Hotelbeds Group.
The change recognizes the fact that the Hotelbeds brand represents a significant part of the business.
Hotelbeds Group recently presented its full year
results, announcing a growth in sales by 10% in 2014 (year ending
30 September) and EUR4,048 million in Total Transaction Value
(TTV). Its EBITDA increased by 13% to EUR132 million, with EBITA
reaching EUR100.6 million.
Among Hotelbeds Group's other brands are
Destination Services, Activities, Laterooms.com, Intercruises and
Roiback.
Following the merger of TUI Travel PLC and TUI
AG , the new organisation for TUI Group comprises mainstream and
non-mainstream. Hotelbeds Group will be part of non-mainstream and
drive a focused strategy to further accelerate growth.
