Accor has appointed Ms. Gaynor Reid as Vice President of Communications - Asia Pacific.

Gaynor has been with Accor Hotels for 15 years and was most recently Director of Communications - Asia Pacific.

She will oversee both internal and external communications, together with sustainable development in the region, and will also sit on the group’s Executive Committee for Asia Pacific.

Based in Singapore, Gaynor will work closely with the teams across the region and manage communications for the group’s growing network of hotels, which currently sits at 635 properties across 17 countries.

An award-winning communications professional with over 25 years’ experience in journalism, marketing and PR, Gaynor was previously the Media Relations Manager for Accor in Australia.

She has held seats on the Committee of the Australian Society of Travel Writers, the PR Taskforce for the Australian Accommodation Association and the Sydney Olympic Park Marketing and PR Taskforce.

A former journalist, Gaynor has held several roles in PR over the years including working on the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, managing the Welcome the World project, and at ACP Publications.

“I am very excited about the challenge that this new position offers and the larger scope of responsibility,” said Gaynor. “The Asia Pacific region is such an exciting place to be, with Accor opening, on average, one hotel per week, and I look forward to bringing greater visibility to the group and to our brands, as well as highlighting Accor’s strong commitment to corporate social responsibility as part of this new role.”
