Buhdy Bok has been promoted from the position of
Senior Vice President Asia Pacific & China, to President of Costa
Asia, Costa Cruises Pacific & China.
The promotion reflects Costa Groups increasing
expansion in the fast-growing Asia market, with a particular focus
on China.
I would like to congratulate Buhdy on his new
position and look forward to working with him intensively on the
further expansion of our company in Asia. This appointment will
help us strengthen our Costa Asia brand and support the
development of our global activities, especially in Asia," said
Michael Thamm, CEO of the Costa Group.
Buhdy joined Costa in May 2011 as Vice President
China. From January 2012, his role was extended to cover the rest
of Asia Pacific region and he took the position of Senior Vice
President Asia Pacific & China in July 2013.
Before coming to Costa, Buhdy spent 15 years in
a distinguished career at Singapore Airlines, where he worked in a
number of positions both at the companys head office in Singapore
and abroad.
Buhdy obtained his Master of Business
Administration from Duke University (Fuqua School of Business) in
the United States. He also holds an accountancy degree from
Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and a law degree
from University of London.
