Travelport has entered into a new marketing
partnership with Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism
Development (Beijing Tourism) to promote Beijing as a stopover
destination in Asia, highlight Beijings 72-hour free transit
visa, and drive traffic and bookings to the city.
Beijing Tourism is a key division of
Beijings Municipal Government and is responsible for planning,
promoting and accelerating the growth of tourism into the city.
The new marketing partnership utilises a number
of Travelports Digital Media Solutions which enable Beijing
Tourism to communicate its offering to Travelports
67,000 travel agencies globally, targeting specific audiences at
exactly the right time.
Mr. Zhang Jing, Director
of Department of City Image and Marketing, Beijing Municipal

Beijings 72-hour free transit visa is available
to passport holders of the following countries:
Schengen Agreement Countries: Austria, Belgium,
Czech Republic, Demark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece,
Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta,
Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland.
Other European Countries: Albania, Russia,
United Kingdom, Iceland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine,
Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia
Plus the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico,
Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand Korea, Japan,
Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
Numerous terms and conditions apply however, so
it is important to check with your local Chinese Embassy or
Consulate whether you and the trip you are taking allows you to
take advantage of the 72-hour free transit visa.
