Fifteen hoteliers have just completed
AccorHotels’ International Hospitality Management Program (IHMP)
for Asia Pacific.
The program
includes a 21-day classroom training session, 16 self-paced
e-learning courses and several virtual classrooms as well as in-depth mentoring.
The final assessment saw participants
presenting a major project to a panel of senior executive leaders
from AccorHotels Asia Pacific.
Projects included such varied topics as customer-centric security, multi-skilling teams,
strengthening the talent pipeline, digital marketing and improving
the leisure ambience at resort hotels.
“Some of our best
General Managers today have come through the IHMP program over the
years,” said Christine Rumble, Vice President Learning &
Development, Accor Asia Pacific. “We have found that participants
really value the opportunity to combine on-the-job experience with
classroom learning and networking with international colleagues
who are also undergoing the program. It is a great way for us to recognise and reward talent within the organisation and ensure the
development of our talent pipeline for the future.”
Ms Chidchanok
Pasingpong, Director of F&B at Sofitel So Bangkok is one of
those who has just
completed the course and said it was a great learning experience,
and one that has brought her closer to achieving her career dream
of becoming a General Manager.
“IHMP is a fantastic
journey that has brought me to a group of equally ambitious
individuals,” she said. “It is a journey that was enlightening,
challenging and unforgettable.”
