Air Astana has launched flights between Astana
and Seoul, as well as Astana - Tbilisi, Georgia.
Flights between the capital cities of
Kazakhstan and South Korea are operated by Boeing 767-300ER
aircraft, with 30 Business class seats and 193 Economy class
seats, once a week and compliments the existing three times a week
service from Almaty to Seoul. The new flight is operated on a
codeshare basis with Asiana Airlines.
The new service from Astana to Tbilisi is
operated with Embraer E190 aircraft seating 9 in Business class
and 88 in Economy Class. The flight operates twice a week and is additional to the
current five times a week service from Almaty to Tbilisi. More than
120,000 passengers have travelled on Air Astana flights to Tbilisi
since services commenced in 2011.
