[HD video below] Anantara has added the Anantara Siam Bangkok
Hotel to its portfolio.
Located in prestigious Rajadamri, the hotel, formerly the Four Seasons Bangkok,
will
become the brands flagship in its home market of Thailand.
Minor Hotel Group, the hotels owning company,
has confirmed an investment of US$ 20 million to enhance the hotel
over the coming months. Areas to be refurbished include some of
the propertys guest rooms and public areas. Full details of the
planned refurbishments have not yet been announced.
Dillip Rajakarier, Chief Executive Officer of
Minor Hotel Group, said, We are excited to reflag this
prestigious property in central Bangkok to our core luxury
Anantara brand and its a fantastic addition to the brands
portfolio. The property has a great history and will become the
brands flagship here in Thailand and we are confident that as
Anantara Siam it will continue its life as one of the citys
leading hotels.
Located in the heart of
central Bangkoks Ratchaprasong district, opposite the Royal
Bangkok Sports Club and right next to a sky train station,
Anantara Siam Bangkok is within close proximity to the main
business, nightlife and shopping districts, Lumpini Park, and
many of the citys key cultural attractions. Suvarnabhumi
International Airport is roughly a 45-minute drive from the hotel and Don Mueang International Airport
is just 25 minutes away.
Accommodation comprises 354 guest rooms and suites
designed in traditional Thai and contemporary style, with
authentic Thai artifacts, teak furnishings and silk fabrics, with
views overlooking tropical gardens, the pool, prestigious local neighbourhood streets or the impressive grounds of Royal Bangkok
Sports Club.
Leisure facilities include an outdoor pool, which is
surrounded by a large sundeck, tropical garden scenery, a
waterfall and lotus ponds. In addition a 24-hour health club
offers a gym and squash court, a spa, a studio for yoga, aerobics
and spinning, plus a steam room and whirlpool.
With the addition of Anantara Siam Bangkok, the
brand now includes a total of 34 properties in ten countries.
Anantara has a pipeline of more than ten future properties to be
added, and continues its strategic expansion across its current
footprint, including in a number of new countries.
