After more than 20 years of success in Hanoi,
Meliá Hotels International has signed its third project in Vietnam
– a new Sol House resort in Phu Quoc.
The Sol House Phu Quoc, scheduled to open in
2016, will be a 4-star resort with 260 rooms and bungalows, an
exotic spa, two different dinning spaces, a beach bar, a swimming
pool and a beach sport center.
Phu Quoc is a tropical island in the Gulf of
Thailand, 50kms from the Vietnamese mainland and a 50-minute
flight from Ho Chi Minh.
With stunning beaches and untouched
natural environment, the majority of the island is dedicated to
National Park and protected marine environment.
Phu Quoc received more
than half a million visitors in 2014, and tourist arrivals show
an annual growth of 50% thanks to the new international airport
which
opened in 2012.
Melia's The “Sol House” concept is
now expanding in Asia Pacific, and in addition to the Sol House Phu Quoc
mentioned above, there are two other
projects in Indonesia.
