AirAsia is to launch direct flights from Pattaya
(U-Tapao) to Chiang Mai and Hat Yai, in Thailand.
The U-Tapao - Chiang Mai flights will operate 10
times weekly. There will be 2 flights daily except on Mondays,
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays when flights will be available
just once per day.
The U-Tapao - Hat Yai flights will operate 4
times weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
To celebrate the launch special one-way fares of
590 Baht are available on both sectors. Terms and conditions

Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia,
said that, "The new additions will allow for greater domestic
travel options. Both Chiang Mai and Hat Yai are popular
destinations for Thai and foreign travelers alike. With Pattaya
already a varied and attractive tourist destination has both
natural and cultural attractions. The added routes are sure to
stimulate travel."
With the additional route, Thai AirAsia will
effectively be launching a total of 4 new flights on 27 November
2015, including U-Tapao-Chiang Mai, U-Tapao-Singapore,
U-Tapao-Macau and U-Tapao-Udon Thani.
All together, AirAsia will be operating 8
routes from U-Tapao Airport including flights to Nanning, Nan
Chang, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Singapore, Udon Thani, Chiang Mai and
Hat Yai.
