SkyTeam, a global airline alliance, has opened a
lounge at Hong Kong International Airport.
The fourth in a growing offering of
SkyTeam-branded lounges around the world, it is available to First
and Business Class passengers and Elite Plus members flying on all
12 member airlines serving the airport.
The facility of around 1,000 square
meters can seat up to 230 passengers and has been designed to
offer a range of high-end amenities. Features include: Yoga Room;
noodle bar, offering cooked-to-order cuisine; and a botanical feature comprising more than 50
different plant species.
"Our goal is to invest in shared facilities at airports
around the world in order to deliver a consistently high level of
service to our members' customers as well as creating synergies
for our members at airports served by multiple SkyTeam airlines,"
said SkyTeam's Managing Director Michael Wisbrun. "This exclusive
lounge will provide a relaxing environment for passengers in which to unwind before catching their next flight."
The new
SkyTeam Exclusive Lounge in Hong Kong is located at Terminal 1 and
is open daily between 05:30 and 01:00.
In keeping with the
alliance's existing lounges at London Heathrow, Istanbul Ataturk,
and Sydney International airports, available amenities also
include work stations; numerous charging points for electronic
devices; complimentary Wi-Fi access; shower facilities; a hot and
cold buffet of international cuisine; and an extensive bar
selection.
SkyTeam member airlines serving Hong Kong
International Airport are: Aeroflot, Air France, China Airlines,
China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Delta Air Lines,
Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean Air, Vietnam Airlines
and Xiamen Airlines.
The 12 members jointly offer over
183,000 seats every week from Hong Kong International Airport.
