The
Roosevelt Macau hotel, being developed as a “jetset
retreat” designed with “a modern take on Hollywood glam with a
1950s retro twist”, is scheduled to open in early 2016 close to the Cotai Strip
entertainment hub.
Headlining the concept will be a glamorous
private VIP club with its own wine bar, exclusive wine cellar and
cigar lounge, and a private open-air swimming pool with a bar and
cabanas which is set to become renowned for LA /Miami-style pool
parties with DJs and live music. Indoor and outdoor
‘star-gazing’ dining venues will also host celebrity chefs.
The 12-storey tower Roosevelt Macau will feature 373 guest
rooms ranging from superior to suites, with balconies overlooking
the sea and neighbouring Macau Jockey Club. Guest accommodation
will also include four villas.
In keeping with its Hollywood heritage, the hotel will also
feature a movie screening room – along with state of the art
recreational and meeting facilities.
Guestrooms will feature their own library and bar,
custom-made leather beds, marble bathrooms and freestanding
bathtubs. Guestroom design also incorporates brass tree branches
on one glimmering shell wall and another inlaid brass steel wall,
juxtaposed with neon-lit dark wood walls and white oak wood
flooring.
The swimming
pool will also feature an underwater mural – continuing the
tradition of the Hollywood Roosevelt, where the pool was painted
by David Hockney in the 1970's.
GCP Hospitality CEO, Christophe Vielle, said, "We believe
the developer of the project has thought out of the box and made
the right decision in choosing a lifestyle hotel concept for
Macau. The Roosevelt Hotel will bring elegant and glamorous
experiences perfectly complementing Asia’s dynamic entertainment
capital.”
