Chiva-Som in Hua Hin, Thailand Opens Ocean Rooms

Chiva-Som, one of Asia's most highly respected wellness resorts located in Hua Hin, Thailand, has opened a new category of rooms.

The new Ocean rooms, designed by American Architect Ed Tuttle, feature wooden floors and make the most of natural materials to enhance the ambiance of oneness with nature - a key element within the Chiva-Som philosophy of holistic wellbeing.

The luxurious and contemporary Thai elements are subtly incorporated and feature a light color palette of gold and ivory; rich fabrics and natural trimmings provide accents in muted forest green and wood tones.

Abstract artwork in gold across one wall casts a warm glow, whilst the latest technology in lighting provides five settings, a mood for all times of the day and states of mind.

These features complement Chiva-Som’s existing 54 accommodation options, which comprise of 17 Thai pavilions, 37 Ocean rooms and suites.

The new Ocean Rooms offers guests views over the Gulf of Thailand and include a separate spacious dressing room; two individual facing washbasins in contemporary white Corian, a bathtub with wet room style shower and separate toilet.

Full floor to ceiling windows in each room ensure plenty of light and give over spacious outside terraces and balconies with a generous seating area.

Ms. Sheila McCann, General Manager, said, “I am so proud that Chiva-Som goes from strength to strength and we have so much more to offer for the years to come. The new decor is simple and elegant and these new rooms will allow us to provide the highest standard of services and comfort in a tailor made environment.”
