Korean Air and the State Hermitage Museum in
Russia hosted a sponsorship extension ceremony at the Museums
Hermitage State Assembly Hall on 20 March.
Present at the ceremony
were Mr. Sung Hoi Song, Regional Director for Korean Airs CIS
region, and Mr. Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State
Hermitage Museum.
The sponsorship deal is an extension to the
existing 2009 agreement between the two parties striving to
improve visitor experience.
Through the 6-year sponsorship extension, Korean Air
will support operation of the museum such as production of guide
maps and posters for special exhibitions and audio guides will
continue to be available in Korean language for self-guided Korean
visitors.
The State Hermitage Museum is one of the largest
and most renowned museums in the world, with over 2.9 million
exhibition items including Madonna Litta attributed to Leonard
da Vinci, Woman Holding a Fruit by Paul Gauguin and masterpieces
by Renoir, Monet and Van Gogh.
Korean Air partners many of the worlds most prestigious museums,
including the British Museums, Louvre Museum and Musee DOrsay.
