For the third year in a row, SpiceRoads is
inviting riders to join their team on the Tour of Friendship R1, a
five-stage road bike race scheduled to take place 2 – 6 May 2015.
The tour is aimed at cyclists with experience
riding in a peloton and able to average 40kph for long distances,
and will pass through central Thailand and the cities of
Ayutthaya, Khao Yai, Wang Nam Kaew, Kabinburi, and Prachinburi.
The stages include:
Stage 1 - Time Trial around Suvarnabhumi Green
Track - Distance 23 kms;
Stage 2 – Ayutthaya - Distance 100 kms;
Stage 3 - Ayutthaya - Khao Yai - Distances 120
kms for Open, 30-39, 40-49 and 100kms for ladies, juniors,
masters, 50-59;
Stage 4 - Kabinburi to Wang Nam Kheaw -
Distances 130 kms for Open, 30-39, 40-49 and 100kms for ladies,
juniors, masters, 50-59;
Stage 5 - Kabinburi to Prachinburi - Distances
85 kms for Open, 30-39, 40-4, 50-59, ladies, juniors, masters.
The tour includes pick up drop-off from airport,
race registration, vehicle support during race, some meals,
transport to/from race, 5 nights accommodation, two SpiceRoads
race kits (jerseys and shorts/bibs), and two SpiceRoads water
bottles.
The costs for the race package is US$1,275 with
US$260 for a single supplement.
Road bikes are available from rent from
SpiceRoads US$150 for Trek Domane 2.3 road bike and US$225 for
carbon Trek Emonda S5.
